New Hall School

New Hall School is a leading Catholic independent boarding & day school for boys and girls aged 3-18. Founded in 1642, the school is the oldest Catholic school in England that has always taken girls.Famous Art and Design alumni include the Surrealist painter Leonora Carrington and the fashion designer Anya Hindmarch. Our department is housed in a spacious studio complex with outstanding facilities and extensive extra-curricular provision. Our curriculum includes GCSE Fine Art and Photography, leading to the open specification in Art and Design at A-Level which encourages a sophisticated and diverse collection of work from our students. Our Art and Design courses embrace a wide range of media and disciplines, according to the interests and needs of our students. It is common for disciplines to merge seamlessly together without too much premeditation.

Sociedade Nacional De Belas Artes

Na Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes o ensino é de carácter privado e ministra-se o Curso de Formação Artística, reconhecido pelo Ministério da Educação, através do Despacho Normativo nº 32/84, publicado no Diário da República, I Série, nº 34 de 9/02/1984, sendo a sua frequência orientada em função dos objectivos do candidato. Assim, se o aluno pretender concluir o C.F.A., terá que realizar o conjunto dos programas, que são os vários cursos práticos e teóricos. Essa formação compreende a frequência obrigatória de três anos de práticas: o ano de Iniciação e outros dois Complementares de "Atelier", quer na área de Desenho quer na de Pintura, e também de todos os teóricos. Contudo se o candidato tiver necessidade de formação especifica, neste caso poderá frequentar "isoladamente" o curso que desejar; seja prático e/ou teórico. O Curso de Formação Artística está vocacionado para a aprendizagem de matérias e técnicas da área artística, mantendo os alunos informados sobre questões contemporâneas. Constituem, também, uma preparação para os cursos universitários em áreas afins, ou ainda uma forma de reactualização de conhecimentos.
